Transfer Process
How Firearm Transfers Work
A clear, appointment-based process for Wisconsin FFL transfer inquiries, from initial contact through required paperwork, appointment confirmation, and eligibility review.
Important First Step
Do not arrange shipment before receiving confirmation from Badger Forge Firearms.
Shipment timing, appointment steps, paperwork, and eligibility requirements must be reviewed before any transfer can move forward.
Step 2
Wait for confirmation from Badger Forge Firearms before shipping or arranging shipment.
Step 3
If the request is accepted for next steps, the dealer or seller receives shipping instructions.
Step 4
The firearm arrives and is logged, reviewed, and processed for customer follow-up.
Step 5
Badger Forge Firearms contacts the customer for appointment scheduling when the item is ready for next steps.
Step 6
Required paperwork and background check steps are completed in person with the FFL where applicable. This website does not collect in-person transfer paperwork.
Step 7
Transfer proceeds only if legally allowed and all required steps are complete.
Process Notes
